Best known for sophisticated fare like Cyrano de Bergerac (1950), legendary screen actor (and uncle to George Clooney) José Ferrer managed to squeeze in time for a few cheapies, including the riveting crime film El Clan de los inmorales (1975). Ferrer plays a mob boss who decides to betray a close associate (Helmut Berger) when the crook doesn’t perform to expectations. Guns flash and bullets fly, but director José Gutiérrez Maesso wisely makes time for some carnal frolicking. Sydne Rome doesn’t appear in very many scenes, but fortunately few of them feature clothing.
